She's an Ambien Girl

{May 16, 2009}   Same Conversation…

One of my ‘experiments’ to see how Ambien affect her mind involves a conversation we have nearly every night she takes the Ambien. She seems to have no memory of this conversation, and things that I’m sure would trigger those memories do not. I’m wanting to find out if this recurring conversation will ever make its way into the daytime, or if the memory loss is ongoing. I wonder if the memories will turn into long term memories, and if this conversation will eventually leak into daytime. She now knows there’s an ongoing conversation, and I think that’s bugging her that she doesn’t know what it’s about. She has told me not to tell her, because the experimental nature of it is as interesting to her as it is to me.

{May 10, 2009}   Split Personality?

Now that we’re a few days into this Ambien thing, I’ve begun to wonder just exactly how it works on the brain. She doesn’t remember much, if anything, of what happens while she’s under. But, clearly at some points in the evening she seems coherent and quite logical. We’ve had long talks about things, and she doesn’t seem too different. Other times, she’s a wild sex-crazed woman, and not a lot like her normal self. So I’ve wondered if there’s like a split-personality thing going on/ i also wonder if the tow sets of memory are compartmentalized, if she might remember things from one night to the next, that she doesn’t remember during the day. I’m doing my own little experiments to find out about these things. I’ll post more as this progresses…
